NIOT Recruitment 2022 : The National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT) was established in November 1993 as an autonomous society under the Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India. NIOT is managed by a Governing Council and the Director is the head of the Institute.
Major aim of starting NIOT under the Ministry of Earth Sciences,is to develop reliable indigenous technologies to solve the various engineering problems associated with harvesting of non-living and living resources in the Indian Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ), which is about two-thirds of the land area of India.

- • Scientist – F – Pay Level 13A (Rs. 131100 – 216600) and allowances as admissible under 7th CPC.
- • Scientific Assistant – Pay Level 06 (Rs.35400-112400) and allowances as admissible under 7th CPC.
- • Scientific Assistant – Pay Level 06 (Rs.35400-112400) and allowances as admissible under 7th CPC.
- • Technician Grade – A – Pay Level 02 (Rs.19900 – 63200) and allowances as admissible under 7th CPC.
- • Junior Translation Officer – Pay Level 06 (Rs.35400-112400) and allowances as admissible under 7th CPC.

Educational Qualification NIOT Recruitment 2022 :-
Scientist – F (Mechanical) :
- • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Technology from a recognized University with at least First Class (60% marks) in the qualifying degree level. Sixteen years experience in Research and Development, Survey, Planning, Administration, Supervision or training, etc., in any of the field of the areas of technology or engineering.
Scientific Assistant (Mechanical) :
- • Three (03) years of Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (with 60% marks) or its equivalent qualifications from a recognized Board or University. Basic knowledge of computer.
Scientific Assistant (Electronics & Communication) :
- • Three (03) years of Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering (with 60% marks) or its equivalent qualifications from a recognized Board or University. Basic knowledge of computer.
Technician :
- • 10th Class Pass (Secondary / Metric) of a recognized Board and ITI course approved by National Council for Vocational Training or equivalent from recognized Institutions. Basic knowledge of computer.
Junior Translation Officer :
- • Master’s degree of a recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level. (OR) Master’s degree of a recognized University in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level.
Age Limit :-
- • Scientist – F : Not exceeding 50 years.
- • Scientific Assistant : Not exceeding 28 years.
- • Scientific Assistant : Not exceeding 28 years
- • Technician Grade – A : Not exceeding 25 years.
- • Junior Translation Officer : Not exceeding 35 years.
