NCSM Recruitment 2023 : The first science museum, Birla Industrial and Technological Museum (BITM), Kolkata under CSIR, was opened on May 2, 1959. In July 1965 the second science museum, Visvesvaraya Industrial & Technological Museum (VITM) was opened in Bangalore. After Kolkata and Bangalore, the work for the third centre at Mumbai was taken up in 1974.

As the popularization of science and technology through the Science Museums grew in scope and size, the Union Planning Commission constituted a Task Force in early 1970’s to assess the activities of the Science Museums. Task Force recommended to set up Science Museums in different parts of the country at National, State and District levels and also recommended formation of a central coordinating agency.

Salary :- 

• Office Assistant Gr. III : Rs.19,900 – 63,200/-
• Artist-A : Rs.19,900 – 63,200/-
• Technician A : Rs.19,900 – 63,200/-
• Technical Assistant A : Rs.29,200 – 92,300/-
• Exhibition Assistant A : Rs.29,200 – 92,300/-
• Education Assistant A : Rs.29,200 – 92,300/-

Educational Qualification For NCSM Recruitment 2023 :-

Office Assistant Gr. III :

• Higher Secondary or its equivalent.
• The candidates must qualify in typing test of 10 minutes duration with at least 35 w.p.m. in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi on computer correspond to 10500/9000 Key Depression Per Hour (KDPH) respectively duly supported by certificate from a Government recognized Institution.

Artist-A :

• Diploma/Certificate in Fine/Commercial Art of at least two years duration after SLC. Candidates must have one year experience after obtaining the diploma/certificate for course duration of two years.
• For candidates obtaining diploma/certificates of one year course duration, two years relevant experience after obtaining the certificate shall be required.

Technician A :

• SSC or Matriculation with certificate from ITI or equivalent in relevant discipline.
• Candidates must have one year experience after obtaining the certificate for course duration of two years.
• For candidates obtaining certificates of one year course duration, two years relevant experience after obtaining the certificate shall be required.

Technical Assistant A :

• Technical Assistant-A (Electronics) – Diploma course (3 years) in Electronics.
• Technical Assistant A (Computer Science) – Diploma course (3 years) in Computer Science or NIELIT ‘A’ (erstwhile DOEACC ‘A’) Level diploma/Information Technology from a duly recognized Institution or Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA)/Computer Science.

Exhibition Assistant A : 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Arts/Fine Arts/Commercial Arts.

Education Assistant A :

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science with Physics and combination of any two subjects viz. Chemistry, Mathematics, Electronics, Computer Science, Astronomy, Geology and Statistics.  OR
• Bachelor’s degree in Science with Chemistry and combination of any two subjects viz. Zoology, Botany, Microbiology, Environmental Science, Bio-Technology and Molecular Biology from a duly recognized University.

Selection Process For NCSM Recruitment 2023 :-

• The selection process includes Test / Interview.
• Mere possession of requisite qualification and experience shall not entitle the candidates to be called for the test or /and interview.
• Decision of NCSM in this regard shall be final and binding.

Application Fees :-

• Rs 885.00 /- {Fees. Rs.750.00 + 18% GST (Rs.135/-)} only.
• Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Person with Disability (PwD) and Ex-Servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of application fee.

Note :-

• Call letter (admit card) against valid application will be sent to the candidates at their email IDs mentioned in the applications which is required to be produced at the time of admission to the written examination or type test or Aptitude test/Trade test along with a valid photo identity card, in original, viz. Aadhar card, PAN card, Voter ID card, Driving Licenses, Passport etc.
